Forgive me if this has been asked/answered already, but is Bi-Directional V2H coming to the Mach-E? A website from a company called Nuwatt energy says that it is by an OTA update sometime this year, but I haven't seen that anywhere else. I just got solar and I'm thinking about battery backup BESS, but a Mach-E V2H solution would generally make that unnecessary.

There is no official V2H capability with the Mach-E and I haven’t heard about any updates to allow that.

Even if there were, it would probably be a proprietary solution like what they used on the Lightning as there is no universally adopted standard for V2H/V2G yet.

All I see on NuWatt Energy's site is that they install L2 EVSEs from several well-known brands. The only currently working solution is the Sigenergy EVSE/Inverter/Battery Storage system. It takes advantage of an undocumented feature in the MME's charging logic that allows the contactors to close when some circumstances are met. Ford *could* "fix" this at any time with an OTA update. 🤔🐩

That said, there is some movement in trying to create a standard for just this thing. Nobody I know has heard much out of committee regarding this. 🤷‍♂️🐩

Apparently, the Mach-E meets the requirements for high-voltage V2X. Ford built it this way, but does not officially support it. There is a company that makes a V2L adapter for Tesla and "other" brands. I am trying to get them to send me one for review and promotional purposes. I would love to take it around to Ford/Mach-E rallies and put on demonstrations. I'll keep you all posted if the company agrees to work with me.
