Mach-e VLOG coming to Upstate NY

Just heard from the organizer of the NY Capital District Drive Electric Week & Sustainability Fair in Schenectady, NY being held on October 1, 2023 that are very own Mach-e Vloggers, Patrick and Liv, will be on hand. Last year, this event was the biggest NDEW event in the country.

Currently, there are 5 Mach-e's registered. Mine is one of them but there is always room for more! I will be flying back from Florida the day before so there is a chance I might not get home in time. But, if I do, I will be there! If anyone else is driving to this event from the west, let me know. We can meet up for breakfast along the way.

Yep! We just confirmed some of the details this morning! We're really excited to check it out even though we won't have our Mach-E. The lineup of vehicles registered is already quite impressive!

We should be in the area Friday, Saturday and Sunday but we have to leave right after the event. We'd love to try to do a Mach-E or Ford EV meetup as well, but not sure what our transportation situation will be.

This is great! I just saw an email from Patreon about it and my calendar is free for that weekend. I will be driving in from the east and will likely make a long weekend out of it (It is great being retired!). Later that week I am planning on a road trip to Celtic Colours music festival in Cape Breton, so I may just head north to Montreal afterward and do a big loop trip to the Maritimes.

Too bad I will not see Blucifer in person, but I might be doing a road trip to the west coast in the spring and plan on coordinating the trip with meet-ups out there.

I would be all in for a Mach-E or Ford EV meetup as well. I am sure somebody in the vast Mach-E VLOG fan base will be willing to aid in getting Patrick and Liv to any meetup.

I have been to a small local event where EV owners show off there vehicles and answer questions. I just wandered around and did not display my vehicle. I assume this event will be similar? Does anybody do anything special? I was thinking of opening the frunk and putting in a poster board with basic information about my car and highlighting some of the road trips I have done.

That would be perfect. I made up a poster with all the specs on my car which answers the first questions that are always asked...how much range, how fast does it charge, etc. Putting your road trip information would be a great addition as I do not have much experience doing that so far.

I just brought my CR1 and my husband's Volvo C40 to a Drive Electric Week event in southern Maine. A few people had written documentation about their cars, but many just talked about their cars and answered questions. We actually got a lot of questions about the Volvo, as it's a more rare car here in the US, and a lot of questions comparing the two. I am working on jotting down some notes comparing the two, along with comparison to the bZ4X we had for 8 months. Real world numbers on efficiency and range in different driving conditions are good to have written down for people to see at a glance.

The reason I use the poster is for when I am not at the car to answer questions. I photograph the events I go to.

I was at the 2021 Capital District NDEW. Click the link to see the photos. This year's event will be at the same location. Suggest people coming to get there early. Would love to see all the Mach-e's lined up together.

I am all signed up. I arrive Friday afternoon and leave Monday morning. I was thinking about getting an AirBnB a couple of blocks away from the event, but it was cheaper to get a room at a hotel near the airport. Those AirBnB fees are a killer. There is a level 2 nearby at a business that I might be able to use overnight, but also DC fast charging slightly further away. I should get there with 36% SOC so it might just be a fast charge before I leave. See you all there.

Nice you guys are doing that in the US with the Mach-E. Nothing like that in Belgium.
I've been to a similar event in Spa Francorchamps with my other car, really great to meet the other like-minded owners and do a tour on the race circuit with +150 cars. A bit cramped though with so many caraand didn't get a lot of real fast driving done , especially with my wife screeming all the time when I let go of all the horses lol.
