The lightning battery pack is > 200 kWh? I did not know that. Couldn’t they put a smaller battery pack in a hypothetical Lincoln Navigator Lightning?
No it isn't. It's 131 kWh useable. Ford has stated that bigger and bigger battery packs is not the way to go.

A Navigator has about the same, lousy aerodynamics as a Lightning and everyone wants to drive them at 80 mph. Aerodynamics is the limiting factor.

Vistiq interior spy shot from Autoblog. Glad the layout is mostly conventional without going overboard with screenification (e.g. the Escalade IQ) but wish it retained more physical switchgear from the Lyriq.

In black trim. Unfortunately it seems to be sporting the same horizontal streaks on its rear 3/4 window like the Optiq. Hope those are merely an optional design.

In opulent blue...the black paint (in the previous post) masked its width but that D-pillar is way too large and chonky. I see Cadillac is intent on blocking our rear sideward vision with both the D-pillar and the rear window design.

Wow, was not expecting the Vistiq to be unveiled so soon!

- Starts at $78.8k
- 102 kwH battery, 190kW charging; 615 hp, 650 lb-ft torque; 0-60 in 3.7 seconds
- 300 mile range

Things I like:

- Exterior design
- High quality interior
- Standard equipment (SuperCruise, 23-speaker AKG, 5-zone climate)

Things I dislike:

- Too much piano black plastic. Just look at all the fingerprints! When will Cadillac ever learn.
- Almost no buttons in the interior; QX80-style touchscreen for HVAC, etc...
- Slow charging speed, low range

Sometimes, the interiors of test cars (and from the looks, this definitely is a test car) aren’t anywhere near final. They’ll just grab whatever is on the shelf to get the car running. It’s likely directionally correct, but definitely not final.

Agreed, but I don't think they'll be making any significant interior changes. The trend is towards screenification- just look at the new Escalade.

Want to highlight some numbers (charging speed is disappointingly slow). While I prefer the look of the Vistiq the charging speed is too slow. I'll be favoring the Hyundai Ioniq 9 EV, which also has more buttons.

- 102 kwH battery, 190kW charging; 615 hp, 650 lb-ft torque; 0-60 in 3.7 seconds
- 300 miles of range (disappointing for this large a battery pack?)

The Vistiq uses the exact same battery pack as the Blazer RS RWD/Acura ZDX/Lyriq (102kWh, 400V). The Vistiq looks much heavier. It'll be a miracle if it can hit 300 miles of range. IMO the Optiq might be the better buy.
