Manually open grill shutters

Is there a way to manually open the grill shutters? I wanted to check for anything that might be stuck on the radiator. I was fortunate that while charging during the latest heat wave, the shutters opened. I found a candy wrapper stuck to the radiator. Removing it was difficult due to the fan running while the shutters are open. I was able to remove it with a long screw driver before the shutters closed again. If there was a way to actuate the shutters manually the inspection and cleaning would be much easier.

Turn the A/C on and use long tongs to pull stuff out.

No manual ways but as @Mach-Lee said there are ways to get them open.
