I understand what you’re saying I just think manufacturers should do better. Don’t make something a signature technology if it doesn’t work as you advertise without pages of warnings in the user manual.

As for uniformed, this is my 5th pure BEV since 2014. Like many of us here, I’ve taught plenty of sales people about the vehicle they were trying to sell me.
Has anyone used AI lately? The hype is promised to be all and yet it comes back with many wrong answers. Yet every company today claims their products use some form of AI even if it is just in many cases a slightly smarter search. AI doesn't tell you where it gets its answers from. Someone can post 1 single thing on the web that is not true, but if no one else posts that same AI has one data point to give you the answer which is wrong. Does that mean never use AI? I use BC on highways all the time. I also have my hands on the wheel a lot of the time. It works pretty darn good most of the time but in heavy traffic is has its issues. Does that mean the manufacture should not have included it? So they give you the warning. You have a choice. Try it or don't. For my 21 Mach E I got it for 3 years free. Ford's way of saying not quite ready for prime time. This is how most technology is rolled out. If you want to wait until it is perfect you can choose not to use almost all technology today.

Maybe you missed the part where I said BC veered us into an adjacent lane violently and without cause. I had my hand on the wheel which is the only thing that prevented us from being in an accident at 65mph and now my child cries anytime she has to ride in the vehicle. But sure, we can keep apologizing for Ford.

I ws not apologizing for ford. I was merely stating the ups and downs of techonolgy and it isn't just Ford with challenges. I just don't think the challenges with hands free driving are limited to Ford.

So I kinda hate this response. No offense to you.

Why have it if it doesn’t work? Why isn’t it labeled Beta? Why is it included in premium services that factor into the cost of the car? I had issues with BlueCruise as well where the car took a corrective measure to avoid something that was not on the road. Ford couldn’t reproduce the issue and instead pointed me to this same verbiage. Yet they expect us to pay for BlueCruise and let us be the Guinea pigs.

Before the apologists come in to the the chat, my children refuse to ride in my MachE now. My oldest cries every time she sees me pull up to pick her up until I assure her I won’t use any of the car’s features. Signature technologies they advertise
[begin sarcasm font] I think I found the problem. Your children have inferior genes, as their father went to a school down south that trains pizza delivery drivers. [end sarcasm font]

Seriously, I can almost guarantee a logical explanation exists. Old construction diversion lines not properly removed comes to mind. In short, BlueCruise won't swerve around an object.

Can you prove that it won’t? Shouldn’t it just disengage BlueCruise and give some audible cue that it’s no longer in control before making a sharp maneuver?

I’m not new to EVs or driver assistance. Been driving pure BEVs since 2014. I had one of the first MachEs in DFW in 2021 and helped the dealership with information on the car’s technologies, how to assuage BEV fears of their customers, day to day usage tips, etc. I understand the vehicle and its limitations. The fact that the way the vehicle behaved still raised red flags for me is saying something in itself.

Other than what Ford puts in print that says it won't swerve around an object, no, I cannot prove it since I didn't write the software.

The technology assists the driver in evasive maneuvers, it doesn't initiate them.

No, absolutely not, I want the current behavior of 1. (increases speed when entering higher speed limit zone)

it is of extreme help to my personal driving experience in the united states. otherwise what is the point of adaptive cruise control. it would be stuck on the speed set at the first turn on

In fact, no to number 2 as well. Why would I want hard braking every single time I drive. It already brakes a little excessively (for safety) when the car ahead comes to a stop

Seems like you are not looking out of the window, which is why you don’t want to deal with adverse conditions, and get pulled over in towns.

I get it, but it’s not true Full Self Driving yet for you to be able to take a nap; the current acc behavior is better and less work for the driver

please take a look at my reasons, why i dont want to increase speed above my choosen value . And of course! mach-e should NOT instandly hard braking, but smooth, in the way i will do if i see citysign.

Turn predictive speed off. If there’s no such setting, turn speed sign recognition off.

no, if the system can recognize signs, i want it to do this, in a reasonsble way.

You may want something all you like, but that’s not going to make it happen.

But by all means, keep on complaining about things that are entirely under your control.

not a lot of point to arguing with the Ford apologists on here. But I agree, if a company sells the car with a feature then IT SHOULD WORK. The answer should NOT be to just turn off all the features of the car.

What Ford apologists? The 2025 GT is incredible. It stands for itself

I have all of my features ON. Good luck with Chevy local road lane assist

The feature does work. He wants it to work in a different manner. It’s this simple: he wants to have predictive speed left on, but not have the car change speed when the speed limit increases. He’s angry that it doesn’t work the way he wants.
