Good morning everyone,

For several days my car has no longer been manageable from the FordPass app. Basically, the car no longer connects to the Ford server, probably due to a modem malfunction.

I cannot perform a general reset from SYNC as it asks me for prior authorization from the App (but by connecting it is not possible to do so) I would like to perform a reset via the FDRS software.

Let me start by saying that I tried different options, even connecting the car to a wifi router, in the end I decided to buy the FDRS license, its Mongoose Plus cable and a 30A power supply.

At this point accept the suggestions on how to carry out this reset and restart procedure. Thanks in advance.

I would start by doing the GWM update you show pending and take it from there. I am able to pull all the connected data on your car, so your modem is working. Have you tried calling Ford customer care to see if they can do anything on their side to help?

Also, found this that worked for a member over on the Lightning forums:

"Not sure if this will help anyone (or whether it's already been addressed). Over the past few weeks my FordPass has been erratic and unresponsive. Showing wrong SoC, not letting me change charge parameters, things like that. I noticed recently that this behavior only happened whenever the truck is at home, and the app would work normally whenever the truck is away from home. I deleted my saved location (which had been carried over from the old app) and the problem has gone away. Then I just re-added the location and all is good and the app is working fine again.

To delete saved locations, in FordPass go to the Energy tab, then go to Target Charge, then select the saved location, and in there you can delete it. Ironically I couldn't do this while at home (due to the unresponsiveness), so I had to do drive away somewhere for the app to let me do it.

Hope somebody finds this helpful. "

This procedure is what I had to do after the V4>V5 update in order to be able to set target SOC when L2 charging at home.

Although the two symptoms of the problem aren't identical, I believe the underlying cause was the same. Some kind of problem with the "Home" location that was saved.

I have the same problem. The Mach e thinks it is somewhere that I had been 200 miles away. I am still able to use Ford Pass for activating charging, but not much else. Ford Pass help says to go to Ford dealer for a reset, but…they are overwhelmed right now.
