The way I read the manual, turning off motion sensors (Vehicle / Settings / Alarm / Motion Sensors) should be a permanent setting (I already turned off Ask to Turn off Motion Sensors, and that seems permanent). Wasn't a problem until I got a new dog last week. The MME says my software is up to date. Known/new bug ? Listening Ford folk?

Known issue with motion sensors staying on even after selecting for them to turn off. Been an issue since release with no updates or fixes. I believe AOSK is working on a possible cover for the motion sensors to give a budget "pet mode"

Really annoying as my dog simply readjusting themselves in the trunk causes the alarm to set off constantly.

Thanx. I remember seeing a warning about Not Covering Up the Motion Sensors. Says they are in the cabin overhead. Do we know where they are?

Thanx, I just read the AOSK thread. Seems like if I choose No Motion Sensors, I'd also choose not to need little "doors" to uncover them. I have the light interior so I put a couple pieces of 3M foam tape over them to see if that works.
Interesting the other day when I had them switched off and dog was in the car at Home Depot, I got a Ford App warning that there was motion, but it didn't set off the lights & horn. Wonder why.
I agree that the tilt sensors aren't sensitive to be set off by the dog. Mine went off when I had to get towed for a wrecked tire and no spare. Maybe today I'll try rocking the car with no fob nearby and see if that sets it off.

I wonder if there is a sensor the detects dog barking in the car?

Someone posted Ford was contemplating a "Pet Mode" and I was wondering if they were doing it out of an awareness of this problem that desperately needs a fix, or is it just a peripheral future feature? I fear the latter as this is an ongoing problem that affects anything that would move around within the cabin, that includes human passengers as well as pets. What next "Child Mode", or "Passenger Mode" settings? Seriously Ford just needs to have a motion sensor toggle switch that simply stays on or off when selected, problem solved... SEE HOW EASY THAT WAS FORD!

As I mentioned, I used a couple pieces of 3M foam tape, maybe making it less prone to ultrasonic leakage. Must be something else because dog still sets off slarm, but not the horn.

On another topic, as a regular iPad user, I find the responsiveness of the touch screen to be abysmal. a chilly yesterday, and the temp was set at 68, so I tapped the Up Temp button, but no response! Apparently just RALLY slow, because when I looked a minute later the setting was at HI.
And if you press the brake and then ON too rapidly, it goes into accessory mode rather than On.
