It seems like your car doesn’t have 12V issue but maybe has a faulty computer that controls locking/access (not sure what Ford calls it or if it’s just part of the BCM).

So it’s either not properly seeing/authorizing your key (whether fob or phone or code) or it not able to send the unlock signal to the doors and therefore you are “locked out” just like if some random person tried to open your car. Then after a while the computer reboots and it works normally for a while.

When you say the door code didn’t work, did the number pad still light up?
Great question, yes, the keypad lights up. And quite amusingly, my app lets me start the climate control while locked-out!

Definitely not a 12V issue then, otherwise nothing would work at all. Something is wrong with the system that detects and/or authenticates the keys.

I finally got the 12V message in Ford Pass, my battery is 50 months old. That is actually about how long the 12V AGM in my Bolt lasted in the Phoenix heat. Ford parts is showing them on back order, but I was able to get an H3-AGM at AutoZone for $244. Will be replacing (and resetting the BMS) today.

Will Ford cover the cost of the battery you installed under the recall??

My failed 12V is out of warranty and has nothing to do with the recall. It died of old age, got my car in June 2021. I think 12V batteries were only covered for 3yr/36mo.

Adding to this mystery, because it's clearly not the 12 volt battery that is causing my lockouts, that annoying double chirp when you exit the vehicle with the power on, even in the quietest moments of a Sunday morning, can only be disabled if you disable Audible Feedback. Tho in reading further on Audible Feedback, that's the modality by which you're supposed to receive a double chirp when you lock the vehicle with the fob. My vehicle has NEVER double chirped locking the vehicle that way, which I can only do standing next to the vehicle. However, it annoyingly loves to double chirp when I exit the vehicle with the power on which I do often, especially with the dogs.

Would be great to hear from @FordMotorCompany on this because three dealers have never been able to address it.

And can't help but to add this little nugget...

Looked up where to find Audible Feedback and was given this direction. Tho alas, upon going to that settings page, there's no such item called Audible Feedback

C'mon Ford. You're better than this (or at least should be).

My car went to the dealer for this recall on Monday. They told me 24-72 hours for the fix because of testing. Well we are coming up on 72 hours and they haven't done a thing yet. So it seems like the 72 hours is just for them to get to it. What is the point of the appointment?

Hi Lauren, who is your dealer? I'll see if I can help out in the background to move it along.

Wait.....so you ARE actively monitoring this thread @FordMotorCompany tho have yet to reply to any of my posts. Wow.
I am actively monitoring, however I am only one person and can miss things. Happy to help if you need it. The most direct help you can get is customer service - all linked in my signature.

Customer service does not appear to know how to solve these issues, instead referring me to a dealer. The dealer doesn't appear to know how to resolve these issues.

Remember, it's the dealer model you have to deal with.

That's why FoMoCo never has any control over dealers which are independent franchisees.

Many people find different experiences with dealers since it's all over the map.

When we remove the independent dealers and go to the direct from manufacturer model, we can cut out the "middle man", "Fluff", and "idiot dealers".

Even in this model, it's an utter and complete lack of accountability to build a faulty car and then blame it on the dealers for not knowing how to fix it.
