The part you are missing is not that the numbers were accurate. Rather, it was the interpretation of the reported numbers was not correct.

Glad to hear the range for the ER AWD will meet the 270 target.

It’s also reassuring to know the Mach will still retain a big battery buffer. Can’t have a muscle car EV without a buff battery! Ha.

The big battery buffer means we don‘t have to be weary of charging above the 80% level. I’m sure the big buffer can also be used to offset degradation over time, or maybe range increases in the future.

I'm unenthusiastic about paying for a battery a significant capacity of which I can't use. Discipline is better than programmed limits.
