My Edriving log for trip incorrect

This trip counter does not reset and gives me incorrect reading on the next drive. Anyone else with this issue.

Yes, everyone does.
Workaround - press the Start button without pressing the brake pedal, then start the car normally.

It has been around for awhile and you would think having the car starting then clears the register would be s straight-forward fix. Has to be some crazy code involved. (Or crazy programmer.)
