I still have to figure out the order number. On my email it says 90036162 (ship in August). Since it's impossible that they've received 90 million orders, should I assume that one can disregard the leading 900 ?

It has been documented a few times that Ford mixed up the sequence of orders on the initial batch (or the vendor shipping them did), and that has now been corrected. Therefore, those that got them with higher numbers are irrelevant to those with lower numbers still waiting.

Do we know if Rivian has been getting charger adapters prior to Ford customers? I would assume those that ordered on day one from Ford would receive their adapter before those that ordered on day one from Rivian.

The first batch of Rivian owners have gotten theirs already. Rivian’s system is different, it’s based off the build date of your truck instead of the date you reserved an adapter. So it’s clear Tesla will be making them for several companies at the same time.

Hopefully the people responsible for building these adapters are not impacted by the ongoing layoffs at Tesla, but I wouldn't be surprised if the upheaval over there is part of the reason for the delay.

I think the delay happened before all that upheaval. Hopefully it doesn't make it worse...

All the orders start with "9000" -- what you want to know is the number after all the zeros.

e.g. if your full order number is 90001234 then you'd just go with "1234".
