Navigation closes out after a few seconds

Just curious if anyone else having this issue? For the last couple of weeks the the navigation closes and drops off the screen after being open for only a few seconds.

I took it to the local Ford Dealer and they have no idea. They say they called Ford for help and that Ford wants them to run a pinpoint test that would require them to remove the dash and would take multiple days.

Yes, ever since receiving a software update to fix PAAK last week. Just dropped my car off this morning for diagnostics, so I'll let you know what they find out.

For what it's worth, navigation seems to work alright on my wife's profile, so I suspect we'll be getting a hard reset on profile configuration and whatever module updates are available.

The other problem I've noticed, and why I brought the car back instead of just reconfiguring profiles myself, is that intelligent cruise control is now throwing an error about not being able to read speed signs. This points to a deeper issue with communication between modules, at least to my unqualified estimation, so hopefully they can work out what's going on there as well.

Thanks - I had not thought of switching over to her profile, but just now it worked fine under hers.

They ended up running a master reset which wiped all user data. I had to go back and reconfigure user profiles, settings, passcodes, and re-pair phones, but all of the issues I'd been experiencing with navigation, intelligent cruise, etc, are resolved. Evidently there is a procedure to run this reset manually without going into the dealership. Awaiting instructions for that.

I'm having a similar issue, except that I've never had nav nor maps; when I select the tile, I get a black screen. I've had it back at the dealer since 5/3 (purchased 4/30), and neither the dealer nor Ford (I now have a "caseworker" at Ford for this issue...) can identify the cause of the problem or fix it. I understand the risks of being an early adopter, but this is getting very frustrating. I hope they're able to get it resolved, as I do love the car.

You simply go to settings - general - reset - master reset.

Tonight I figured I'd try Navigation. Entered my destination, was about fifteen minutes into my trip and it stopped navigating. Map was still up but the directions to my destination just disappeared, poof. I had to pull off the highway and use Waze via Android Auto instead. Which BTW is also a little buggy, but at least it got me where I was going. So no plans to use Navigation again until they get rid of the????
