Navigation Disappeared never to return.

So this oddball thing happened to me today:

I brought up the nav screen, and tapped "Where to" which brought up the address entry form. Before I could enter anything into the screen, the entire navigation screen disappeared completely. It now no longer appears on the screen along with the phone, bluetooth and tire pressure icons. I attempted to use a voice command to enter a street address, and as soon as I finished speaking the address, i got a spinning "please wait" icon which remained permanently.

I have done a sync reboot, and it came back the same way. No navigation screen appears.

I have a service appointment next week for the PAAK update, and have already notified them of this issue, but wondering if anyone out here has encountered anything like this.

I had something similar with SiriusXM going away. I think that in the settings there's an app area where you can select it and add it back to the home screen. I think, it was a few months ago and I'm not near my car to check.

Do you mean the card disappeared or did the Nav "app" also disappear when you tap the top center icon (usually that is the user's profile icon if you have profiles enabled)?

The card disappeared. I got a response from a user on a FB forum that enlightened me to tap on my profile icon, then tap on navigation to restart the app. It is now back to normal. Why it croaked in the first place is another question, but things are back to normal.

I wrote code at Ford for a lotta years. I get it. It's aggravating to see what gets released to the public sometimes. For instance, if I had EVER written a piece of code that displayed "an unknown error occurred" I would quickly be told to go back to my desk and not return until the error was no longer unknown. These days it's commonplace. Granted the code is more complex, but still no excuse in my mind.

But what do I know? ?

I am now having the same issue, e.g. the Nav screen lights up for only about 4 seconds and then disappears - sadly has become unuseable - no chance to use any of its features before it simply flips to another screen. It had worked great for the first six months. Now I am forced to get my Nav from Apple CarPlay (which I do not like in the Mach-E). Have not found anyway to get it back (Have already disabled carPlay; Removed/reloaded phones; checked for updates, etc.). Will try to call Ford again tomorrow : (
