Navigation/GPS not functioning correctly

I saw a couple threads about Navigation not working but they were in mid 2021 so looking form updated information.

Yesterday I tried to navigate to a location and my navigation screen locked up just showing 3 dots and eventually displayed a message to get serviced at the dealer.

I got home and plugged in for a charge and the screen reset, now showing the navigation screen. However the GPS is off my a few miles. Currently it shows my car in the town over from where I’m currently at. Approximately 20 miles away.

Anyone else run into this and/or how did you fix it.

I have seen it several times, perform a sync reset using the buttons on the steering wheel to fix it. Hold the volume down and seek right buttons at the same time for 10 seconds.

On Saturday, 5 miles into an 80 mile drive my GPS went wonkers. It thought I was about 60 miles south of where I was actually located. I use Google Maps but since it uses the cars GPS it was worthless. I switched to built in navigation which showed the same location as Google Maps. My wife's phone, which was not connected to the car, was used for GPS. This also meant that hands free driving wasn't possible because it thought I was on surface streets the whole time.

I reset the infotainment screen but nothing changed.

After I got home and my car sat turned off for about 5 minutes I got back in the car to run some errands. The GPS was fine. I figured it was a glitch that needed time off to cure.

Aside: I know that people claim that the little speed limit sign on the instrument panel gets the speed limit from the camera looking at the real speed limit signs. If true how do I explain that most of my drive home that little speed limit sign showed 25mph or 35mph and never 65. I believe it was getting the speed limits from the maps and since it thought I was on residential streets it gave me what it thought I should see.

I have confirmed this as well when I had the GPS errors, I twice saw the speed sign in the car go to 5mph while driving on a freeway. One time it showed on the maps that I was driving through a golf course, guess Ford gets a triple bogey for that. Last time it happened to me hands free would not engage and I did the reset while driving and that fixed it.

The camera is used, but what happens is that it seems to time out after not seeing a new speed sign, then it reverts to GPS map data.
