So how do you shock it back to normal? Does it just eventually go back to tracking you or is there something you have to do?
Mine is fixed by the next time I go for a drive.

Sometimes it fixes on its own during a longer drive.

I haven't tried restarting sync while I'm driving and observing this problem, so I don't know if that'd also fix it but maybe. 🤷

I have the car's basic map off by 30 miles today. Funny thing is that the cursor continues to move in the wrong place as if it was really there. I reboot sync and quickly tunred the car on off, but it still is off. Also off in my Ford pass app last location. So is there a way to get it back on track other than wait and hope?
Good morning! If you send over your VIN and Ford dealer info via DM, I can look into your GPS concern.

I haven’t tried to reverse engineer the code. My phone doesn’t successfully do wireless airplay (I haven’t tried to delete all phones and readd…my wife’s phone works and it’s her car :) so WIRED CarPlay is navigating correctly when the MachE GPS is confused in our experience

as for getting back on track that seems to happen only after a power down /power up … and not even always :(

Same issue on my 2022 CR1 AWD.
Noticed it while I was driving today. Car’s location is about 40-50 miles off and it persists, when I drive - location changes but from the wrong base point.
SYNC reset didn’t fix anything, stop, lock, unlock, start didn’t fix it. Spent 40 minutes with Ford online & phone support - no luck either (got a case number and advice to take it to dealership).
I was driving on highways, open roads and across a long single deck bridge, so - the the satellite signal could not be the problem.
Did anyone try to see the nab satellite status (under navigation’s settings -> About -> Satellite Status …)?
It’s pretty empty in my case.

Yes. Mine was also empty when I checked and the location and elevation were far off (somewhere else in my state where my car's never been).

My MME lost GPS once. Started going in another direction. Kept locking on to highways that it crossed until they would be too far off. Cured it by doing a sync reset. I think the iPhone also followed the car GPS.

My car may have been in this incorrect location, it’s near Richmond where Ford shipments for the area are coming in. I think it’s just a coincidence, I was driving on the water earlier today 😀

I just transferred my Model Y reservation to a friend in part due to reportedly better Mach-E reliability. The car is only a month old, I didn’t expect problems so soon ….

Mach-E software has some glitches but they largely are just annoyances and add to its personality. It's the most "emotional" car I've ever owned. I mean that in a (mostly) positive way. 😜

I test drove the Y while I waited for Mach-E production to start. It was ok, but really a very different experience in my opinion. I'm really happy I tried it, now I have zero regrets.

You should still test drive a Y if you can.

This just happened again this weekend. 4 wks ago, on freeway doing 70 mph car hit brakes slows to 25. Car said car was in a different town. Took it to dealer, 3 wks latter they said it was fixed. Ford told them to reboot all modules for a fix. When it happened this weekend the car said it was in Or but we were in Wa. We were on the freeway but the car didn't slow down. Apparently the fix was to disable speed sign recognition as well as blue cruise and anything that uses GPS. The only time GPS seems to go out is after using blue cruise on a significant drive. I am wondering if the blu cruise maps somehow confuse nav
when Blu cruise shuts down. I love this car but am starting to consider buy back program. Can't get car into shop until after Thanksgiving as there are 5 machs ahead of me, 3 of which have not even been diagnosed. PS: job one build date 1/8/20

It could be HW issue as well. There are tens of thousands of cars running the same software, yet this thread is pretty small.

I wonder how the sat status screen looks when GPS function normally. Never bothered to check before I had the problem.

This has come up a bunch of times on the forum over the last year or so. The consensus as I recall it:

It's not signal spoofing or jamming.

It's a bug in the vehicle's software/firmware.

Ford has fixed it but most of our cars don't have the fix yet (unless 3.5.3 includes this fix -- we don't know what the fixed version is called or when it will be/was pushed).

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay prioritize the vehicle's location and compass input over their own.
I hadn't thought of this yet.
I have been using Waze with my Android phone for navigation for many years, but since using Android Auto in my Mach-E I regularly experience that the position updates very slowly, or that it indicates that I am driving on the wrong street and only corrects it later.
Probably also because the car GPS is taken over instead of the phone GPS?

Your phone’s GPS signal may also be blocked inside the car, especially if you place your phone on the charging pad under the dash.

I noticed that placing my phone on top the dashboard often solves the phone GPS issues, but nothing seems to help the built in nav

That's a good suggestion, this is the place where my phone is . I will try the top of the dashboard and let you know any results.
Thanks.

Did soft sync reset yesterday and no changes. 24 hrs later every thing is fine, all GPS related items working. In the near future I'm going to repeat my last blu cruise trip and see if the issue recurs.

My GPS was back to normal as well when I started the car this morning. The car was in exactly the same spot where I unsuccessfully tried to troubleshoot the issue with Ford support last night, nothing has changed.

I still took it to a local dealership to check up anyway, but they couldn't do anything, just verified that it's on the latest software.
Below is a photo of satellite status screen that I took when the car was parked under the roof of the dealership's service center, it was tracking 17 satellites even under a roof.
