This mute button hasn’t worked since day 1 for me and I keep forgetting to ask about it. My Prompts setting in Sync Nav is set to Tones. When I’m on the map screen, I pushed it so that it has a slash through it and still get nav prompt tones. I press it to remove the slash and still get prompt tones. Is this button just not functional?

I’ll go for a drive later and turn on Voice prompts to find out. I never use the Voice option.

So that button ONLY works when Prompts is set to Voice, which actually works and mutes the voice prompts. If Prompts is set to Tones, the button is useless because it won't mute tone prompts. Sounds like a bug to me @Ford Motor Company (and don't ask me for my VIN and a dealership, just report it to your Ford developers.)

Working as intended.

I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic. If it is working as intended, what’s the point of putting a button on the screen that does nothing? If it is a mute button, it should mute Tone prompts or Voice prompts when it has the slash across the icon. If pushing it doesn’t change a thing and that’s by design, then don’t give a user a pointless button to make them wonder if it is broken. When a UI control does nothing, that’s not really a good UI communication to the end user.
