(Backstory) Here’s my situation. I purchased my 2022 Premium Extended Range used in December of 2024. I have yet to receive any OTA updates (8 months). I check constantly. I have reached out to Ford on a several occasions with if/when/why/what questions and multiple times nobody seemed to know have any answers. Finally a couple weeks ago someone was able to tell me that I have a module issue preventing OTA updates. I was told to schedule service which I did. I was told to let the dealership know they needed to submit a ticket with Ford’s TAC (Technical Assistance Center) Team and they would need to work alongside each other. I put all of this in the notes when scheduling. I even reiterated it to the service advisor who called me to confirm my issue. I assumed everything was set to go and despite how long it would take at least they would be working together to fix the issue.
Fast forward to today’s appointment …. They run a diagnosis and let me know there are no OTA updates available and that they see I haven’t had any updates for the past 180 days. I explained to them again they would need to discuss with the TAC team the issue because they had already told me what the issue was. They come back about an hour later and hand me my key and say they are waiting for the TAC Team to call them back for help. What a waste of time. I will have to schedule again (90 minute round trip).
Can anyone give me their experience with this type of situation (module issue) Is anyone able to look up my vehicle and let me know which updates I may have received (and not known about) as well as any update that it is missing?
If you read this whole post I appreciate it. It’s super frustrating. Who knows… I may not even have an issue as nobody seems to know what they are doing (including me).

Your car is on Sync 23352 which is one maybe two version behind the latest version depending on what Ford has available for you. I don't have FDRS any more to see what modules you have pending updates, but your connectivity is working fine from what I can see in PTS. Based on the experience of many owners, not getting an updates for 4, 6 or 8 months at a time is not completely abnormal.

Is the car still giving you the driver assist error after the dealer looked at it?

Thanks for the reply. I guess the frustration is that when I call Ford they have never seemed to have any clear answer on anything. Being slightly ignorant I didn’t realize I was behind on the sync version (Never mentioned by Ford or the dealership). I just don’t want to complain about not getting updates if there aren’t any to get.

I did just have the pre-collision assist alert (error) fixed. I got hit square by a runaway blown tire. Replaced the distance sensor and front shutter. 4K worth of repair.

@Ford Motor Company I am having a similar issue where the OTA team is telling me that my car has not received updates in more than 18 months and several “module errors“ could be causing the problem. Three dealer trips and no fix. Last trip it was at the dealer for over a week and to be honest I don’t think the dealer ever heard anything from the TAC team and gave up. My vehicle is part of two recalls that have OTA fixes but my vehicle will not take OTA and has to go to dealer for repair. Please help because on reason I purchased this car because of the promise of OTA. 3FMTK4SX7MME02945

Just to add some fuel to the fire… Today I got the dreaded Powertrain Malfunction and High Voltage Battery warning. It is sitting at City Ford in Columbia City, IN. Not sure if any of this is related but thought I would share.
What year is your MME?

On it! Will see what I can do to help.
@Ford Motor Company Car is scheduled for recall services on 9/25. Hoping to have something to tell the dealer about what the need to do or who they can call to get my OTA’s working again. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciate.

What dealership are you taking your vehicle to? I can pass it along to our engineering team to help ensure the dealership has what they need.
