Hello! I have a Job 1 2021 CR1. You may have seen some of my many posts in the forums already. I have tried and failed to update the APIM - it is stuck and won't update. I purchased the vehicle used, and it appears the previous dealer locked out the APIM during Module Repair. I was able to download the software to USB and tried driving around with the USB in hoping it would update for over a month - nothing ever kicked off.

At this point, I think I need a new APIM. The problem is that the previous dealer said they completed the Blue Cruise update. They did no such thing as I don't even have the games apps nor do I have the IPC with an odometer to the decimal point. Now, the Blue Cruise CSP is expired. Should I file a claim with Ford? How would I do such a thing? I am worried if I take it to a dealer it will sit for weeks before they realize I need a new APIM and try to charge me $1,000+.

So frustrated with this because otherwise I love the car.

Don't know why you started a new thread. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/ipc-update-failed-disappeared-from-sw-updates-in-fdrs.22085/

If it's under warranty, then the APIM should be replaced. If they see in FDRS that you did something to cause the failure, you may have a challenge on your hands.
Got it. Well, in FDRS you can see that while I ran several attempts of the module repair, it produced the same failure each time. The very first time I attempted module repair it suggested the VIN was locked out which is why I believe it is the previous dealer rather than an issue I caused myself.

Sorry about the multiple threads.
