The thing is, my dealer locked it up in July 22. Sept 22 we had the display/APIM Sirius problem that they couldn't update. But they had me come back 10 Oct 22, beyond the 20 day APIM lock-out limit. Back in January Ford got my OTA's moving again, after not receiving any since July. Two were 4 placement numbers that made the APIM start working correctly again. But when the new one came in, the dealer wanted to replace it (so they could get paid). During replacement, they could not program the new one. Ford Tech had to come in, and used a non-published code set to fix it. After walking their tech through it step by step with a failure. Not what was available on FDRS.Damn! What a wait. My dealer said the service tech estimated anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. Hoping for the earlier side since I’ve been dealing with this for over a year
I suspect it may have to do with Auto theft prevention. Minor inconvenience compared to the alternative.
