Never had a 'fun' car before .... I'm hooked!

Since 2016, I've had a Challenger Hellcat, C7/Z06, C8, and CT5 V Blackwing. Would drive them once in a while, but mostly they sat in the garage. Many before these. Even a '69 Z/28.

Something had to change!!!!

Got a 2022 Mach-E GT Performance. Problem solved.

The Mach-E is by no means a muscle/sports car, but it accelerates as hard as any of the above. Plus, all kinds of cool technology.

I now have a daily driver that is also fun. Still have my AWD Equinox for the snowy days.

Also, much cheaper then the above in ALL ways and really a nicer driving experience. A real sleeper.

Yeah, this is my only car! I don't have kids, but have dogs and occasionally need the space to make a trip to Home Depot etc. It is very practical and FUN. Guess not a true sports car, but I'm fine with that. It still has amazing acceleration. It's just so easy. Love the tech, and Blue Cruise makes it so easy to snack and relax while driving, paying attention of course. I don't trust it, but it does seem to work very well. Plus, I love that it is so quiet. I'm not a fan of the muscle car sounds. I wouldn't want that as my daily driver, but I guess I'm exactly what Ford is catering to with this car.

So a few months in, is the spoiler still sticking? Take it through automatic car washes? Thinking about getting a spoiler and rear window louvers for my ‘23 Premium Star White!

I can speak for mine-

First tape came off in a day. Redid the tape and hasn’t moved in months.

I think the first stuff used was the wrong tape (clear and thin).
The stuff that stuck is gray and a thicker “foam” material. Had some “give” for temp changes.

Did you replace with 3M tape? I plan to swap out the stock tape with 3M with hopes that adhesive is better

Mine came with two different 3M tapes. The clear thin one installed and a roll of the thicker grey foam tape

I totally feel this. Only car I owned that I would consider even borderline “fun” before the MME would be a Mercedes Benz S500. And that was only fun because of straight line acceleration, it was a big a$$ boat. I had driven a few “fun” cars in my lifetime, and I like them, but what I like is refined power. The MME handles way better than it should due to weight, is quiet and quick, and I find excuses just to drive all the time, never really had that before. Im totally obsessed as well.

I’ve only ever washed it at home, and all of once (thanks, PNW weather). But I have not noticed any lift off yet, and I didn’t do anything other than warm it up with a hairdryer a bit when installing.
