New '23 - no Fordpass or connectivity

Picked up a MME GT '23 from a dealer few hours away yesterday. We couldn't get the fordpass to activate the vehicle (there was an error and we were unable to complete your request to change authorization) but i had to leave.

Getting home, i noticed no connected services are working - no weather or navigation connection. Fordpass still not activating.
WIFI showing connected. LTE showing connected.
Connected services says please wait and nothing happens.


After some forum searching:
Tried pulling fueses 10-11 and 21-22 - didn't help.
Tried sync reset - didn't work.
Bezel diagnostics shows TCU:connected in one screen but unprovisioned in another screen.

What are next steps that i can try? (i don't want to go to another dealer with a day old car)
Disconnect battery? (if so, which side of the connection, and do i need to disconnect turn off the green connector by the battery?)
Something i can do via FORscan? (have compatible OBD2 dongle)
Reach out to Fordpass support?

Disconnecting 12v gave me location sharing icon and connected services settings, but toggling anything in there didn't work. Ford pass still didn't activate, and Ford support helped me make a dealer appointment... joy

New or used?
Used, they probably havn't deleted the vehicle from the previous owner. You're out of luck for a few days.
New, call Ford BEV team, or wait a few days.
You're not missing enough without the phone app for it to be an issue for a couple days.

Its new but with a 5/23 build date. Fordpass Rep said something about vehicle not responding, but they can see it in their system so it's partially working.
Having the same issues and just got off the phone with Ford. Let me know if you need any details.

Your modem has not been activated. You may be able to call Ford Customer Care so they can activate it for you. PTS does not show the warranty has started on your car yet, so maybe the dealer has reported the car sold to Ford yet. Once they do, it may turn on by itself.

Your modem is activated, country code in the TCU is correct and I am able to see all connected data on your car. The only clue I see is this code you car keeps reporting where the TCU is losing communications with the GWM, but it does not reference any SSM's or TSB's that would give an indication of what is causing this code.

Thank you. Ford Rep had me set updates to everyday and to run the car for 30-60 minutes with everything off and the emergency break on. She said it might take a week for everything to "catch-up" - we shall see.

Got an update to my issue. Took it to a dealer (who checked for codes, said it's fine, blamed my phone, ford, etc.). Called Ford OTA team who said vehicle is definitely not working properly, take it to another dealer and don't leave until they fix it. They also created a case and referenced GSB 23-7035 (which talks about SYNC not working properly and reflashing APIM).

Another dealer took pretty much a week but did a whole day of updates to GWM, APIM, GWM,TCU, and GWM again. After that, fordpass connected, wireless carplay works, etc.
