So joined the Mach E club today. Went from no EV to 2025 Mach E GT with the performance package. So I guess you could say we went all in. Took advantage of the 0.9% financing for 72 months on the left over 2025. Next step is level 2 charging at home. Love the car so far ( only drove it home) but it seems awesome and love the Bluecruise so far. Looking forward to learning from you guys.

Congratulations 🎉

Did the Mach 1 strip come with it, or did you have that installed separately?

I thought that looked familiar. I had a 2021 Mach 1 that I sold about a year ago. Love it!

I had a Mach 1 that I sold about a year ago. I have a Mach E Rally now. I like the Rally strips. It looks like yours is missing the Mach 1 on the front edge which would be good.

By far the easiest L2 charging is a permanent setup in your garage/driveway. As you are making your decision, here are some numbers to help:
  • 32 amp charging on a 40 amp circuit will do you well and will add about 65% in about 8 hours
  • 40 amp charging on a 50 amp circuit will add about 80% in about 8 hours - Good for long driving days
  • 48 amp charging on a 60 amp hardwired circuit will add about 95% in about 8 hours - never needed this on the MME but I do use it on my Lightning (bigger battery) so it is a good future-proof option.

Thank you am still learning and in the process of installing a home charger. Probably going with the 32 amp charging on a 40 amp circuit just to make sure my breaker box can handle it.

Talk with your electrician and have him put in the largest circuit that your panel can handle for a reasonable price. This will give you some flexibility in the future if you get 2nd EV. Most EVSEs are 40 or 48 amp and can be de-rated to work with the circuit you have installed.

32 amp seems to be plenty for us. We charge on 16 amps most days. Maybe once a week, after a longer drive on the weekend we bump it to 32 amps. A couple of times per year, we use 40 amps after a longer road trip but that's only because we want to stay in the cheap 8-hour Time of Use window. My EVSE is adjustable amperage (6-40amp) through the companion app.
