Today on my way to work my MME started making new sounds from BC and ACC. Not certain how to explain but the chimes are different and maybe louder than before. I'm on 2.8.3 and have been for a couple months. But at some point I did go from 2.5.3 to the new numbering system but not in the last few weeks at least. Anyone experience the chimes changing tone and volume? I've not changed any settings.

Does your audio system work - like the radio? I had an audio failure a year or so ago. All sound went completely out except for system warnings and chimes but those chimes took on a noticeably different tone. They must have a back up speaker. I ended up doing what amounted to a 12 volt battery reset by unplugging the fuse box and plugging back in. All was fixed after that.

From what I've read (here on the forum), if the car is in deep sleep, your car will kick it old school and emit beeps and alert tones that sound a bit retro, like they belong in a 1990s car. After 10-30 seconds, the main computer will have booted, and the sounds you're used to will be emitted instead.

Yes, I did. I wired in a Rexing Dash Cam (Wired Constant and Switched) yesterday and this morning received this message and while driving I got Audio Failure for a minute. I should have included this in my original post. I actually like the new sounds, it sounds louder and more distinct. I dread trying to open the area to disconnect the 12-volt battery... Parking Mode did not work so I may need to check the connections, but I followed a previous poster. Thanks for the info!

This has happened to me twice, I think, in 15mos of ownership. The car sounds like an 8-bit Nintendo. I have no idea what causes this but it went away on its own.

Today a couple times with ACC and BC the steering wheel vibrated a bit when I got close to other cars. I've not had that before. All sorts of new stuff. Plus I got pulled over by the CHP for 89 in a 65. He could tell I was prior USAF and still work for them today. He let me go, Time to slow down with BC lol
