I’ve been at chargers fully frustrated at the speed and then had owners of other ev’s come up and are surprised how fast mine is charging compared to theirs. This includes Tesla drivers at Tesla stops wondering over.
Good luck buying any ev s chargers time needs to be quicker when road tripping like everyone knows.

If this is a drive you make with any frequency, and you don't like any added time, you probably should have stayed away from ANY EV.
I have a 450 mile one-way drive that I do with regularity (then I have a couple hundred miles of driving over the week of being at the destination).

Google tells me the drive takes 7:30.

In my dead-dino-juice truck, it takes about 7:45 with one or two stops. In my Mustang, it takes about 8:15 with three stops. And I get to eat dinner while my car charges.

When I arrive in my Mustang, my back doesn't hurt, I'm not exhausted, and I'm looking forward to the week. When I arrive in my truck, I'm tired from forgetting to stop, my back hurts, I'm exhausted from trying to navigate big city roads with the truck, and I do not look forward to the week.

But done is done. The $10k isn't coming back. I can't sell this and buy another and get my $10k back. Time to live with what I have. Time to get the home charger installed so I don't gripe about a road trip I never take (or take the ICE car or rent a tesla). Maybe when I stop charging remotely I'll be happier, because it is a nice car, just not *THAT* nice a car.

Ouch.
I'm about 90% with you here. I'm not upset I bought the car, I just wish I could have not bought it then and gotten something different later.

It's not as quick as a Tesla - which I knew, too, but it's a bigger gap than I expected, even from a 3P, going to a GT. It's not as nice as cars I'm used to. Tesla had some manufacturing issues, but the design was great. M prior cars have largely been European, my wife's SUVs have largely been English - the Mach e is a Ford. Again, known, but it's still a thing.

I have a home charger, so I haven't had any issues with charge times, but it certainly feels like Ford made a bad choice going with a 400v system. Betamax instead of VHS, I guess.

When I first got mine, I said I wished it had been my 1st EV, not my second. I still feel that way. Still, I'm getting to have a Mustang without having to own a Mustang, I've participated in supporting Ford's normalization of EVs, it's a very useful vehicle, and it's not all bad to drive.

It could be significantly better, but that doesn't mean it's "bad." I just wish it were better...

. And I think the general consensus is home charging is the secret to a happy BEV experience.
I've been driving our extra ICE for the past 2 weeks while I get my heebyjeeby replaced. I've had to get gas 3 times. I can tell you, after not pumping gas for a long time, home charging is the secret to a happy experience, period. Standing by a pump in thewind in January sucks.

I think I just read about a MachE price reduction on the 2023 that will retroactively apply to everyone who bought in January.

If that's true this will be far less of an ouch. If the price is closer to on-par, I'll be feeling much better about the purchase.
