This is also a forum of early EV adopters, many of whom have an interest in fossil fuel replacement tech in general.

the tech is solid. it may not have an automotive use case but it is definitely a possibility in many others:

Thanks for sharing his website. I've watched a bunch of his youtube videos, but never realized he had a site to go along with it all.

As you said and it's been mentioned in the article/youtube, it seems like this is much more a stationary energy storage solution or possibly larger ships that don't need to worry as much about space. Hopefully tech like this and others will continue to help bridge that gap when there's limited renewable energy being generated.

Well to be fair, this is a car forum so it was assumed.

And for cars…….Energy density is one of the most important things.
Sure, but EVs have to be charged and to be truly green that electricity must come from renewables. One of the biggest issues in making renewables universal is how to store excess production at peek production times so that it can be available later. If all this technology offers is a better storage for renewable power generators, it's a win for EVs.

Sure, but totally not the point I was making.

More simply- he posted about a new battery tech in the battery section of the Mach E forum.

Of course people would assume it would have something to do with the Mach E battery.

But it doesn’t.

It would be like posting about a new rubber tech in the wheels and tires section…… only to find out it’s for new rubber bands.
