Disaster!
When my wife was driving home last night a full size female deer ran out of the long grass and hit the front right of her 23 plate AWD ER Mach E. Yes, Doh!! a deer, a female deer, with a long long way to run (apparently).
Luckily she was fine and managed to drive the car home the last few miles.
I've attached a couple of images of the damage, the bumper and headlight took the brunt of the impact.
The headlamp has been pushed back and the rear edge caught on the front edge of the wing and I think this has lifted the wing upwards slightly and away from the bonnet. The paint is cracked on the leading edge.
I'm not sure if the structural box section has been twisted slightly, one of the pictures shows the inner section curved upwards. Impact speed was around 60mph.
Out of all of this, my question is; despite the radar sensor having 3 cables severed and the parking sensor swinging in the breeze, why hasn't the onboard system picked up a problem and showing it in the car and Maybe Ford Pass app.
I mean, it can't wait to tell me about things that haven't actually happened and yet when something has legitimately gone wrong.... nothing, not a peep!
Many thanks to RickMachE for pointing out my spelling of the word "Deer".
Enginears typically don't spell that well.
