Non-renewal = no more updates?

This may be a silly question, however I don’t think I’ve seen this said on here

My Mach-E is a 2021 Job 1 Premium that was eligible for the 3 year/$600 BlueCruise offer. I have not renewed my BlueCruise, partially because I don’t have a need to use the feature until a road trip I have planned in the Spring. But by not renewing, does my car stop getting updates? I currently have 6.4, and my last update (received Dec. 2023) was “Improved DC Charging” that I believe has been recycled from a previous update

Have updates been paused? Or is it because I didn’t renew BlueCruise.

There are several people (dozens of us!) who have cars that have no blue cruise hardware, so ford will still push updates to people without blue cruise. We don’t always get the same updates though, some are blue cruise or hardware specific.

As well , my Mach-E is a 2021 CA RTE 1 and eligible for the 3-year-$600 Blue Cruise offer, I declined the Blue Cruise renewal, at the moment little need. However, I did get an unrelated update several days ago.

I believe you'll still get all the Power-Ups and Priority Updates applicable/available to your vehicle, regardless of your BlueCruise subscription status. So far, all the updates for BlueCruise also have impacts to non-BC users, so I can't see a reason for why they'd be skipped.

Maybe you won't receive the periodic updates to the hands free map data, which is exclusively used by BlueCruise and nothing else, but I'm not sure.
