Most of the BT and WiFi OBDII scanner devices do the same thing. It’s really the software you want. Most everyone on the forum uses Car Scanner (iOS and Android). I have a Veepeak BT LE OBDII device. There are many other good ones out there. I just got this one because it was on sale at the time and Car Scanner wasn’t compatible with my old one. Car Scanner has a list of devices they have tested, so download the app and then look at what they list. You can probably find something on sale from their list. ??

These do it for me, the OBD Link’s not the cheapest but I’ve given up buying on price??‍♂

While the MX+ is a great device and able to access all of the OEM-specific data add-ons for other manufacturers too, for free, the CX is the one you need if you want to use it with ABRP; the MX+ doesn't work with it. CX is the only one from OBDLink with the BLE function needed for the ABRP app.

I already had the MX+ and it won't work with ABRP, so I had to buy the CX. While the CX is supposed to be BMW/Bimmercode focused, it still works for all of your other OBD needs, however for battery testing, you may need to buy the Ford add-on in the OBDLink app since it could be an OEM-specific data point. Fortunately I also have 3 BMWs so it was a nice bonus for me.

You can probably use a different app with the CX for the battery monitoring though (such as Car Scanner, Torque, FordSys, etc) since it works like any other ELM327-based OBD dongle would.

Thanks. Do you leave yours plugged into the car all the time?
I just got the Veepeak and am going to use the Cardscanner app. They recommend removing it if it's not in use.

If left in all the time and a bad person knows that it is. It is possible they can hack into your car with it. I also feel this is still unlikely.
