I don’t know if I’m having iOS issues but I can’t seem to connect via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Bluetooth LE (preferred). I’m gonna have to do some research.

Are you trying to connect in the app?

Yeah, car scanner doesn’t even see it. The app that came with it has no issuesbut doesn’t show the diag data.

I have the OBDLink MX+ (link) and it works well with iOS and Android. Not sure what the CX does that's different. The MX+ has two features which you might find interesting / important that aren't on many other cheaper OBDs:

(1) It only is in BT connect or pairing mode for a short period of time after you turn on the vehicle. Outside of that, it has some protection to ensure a rando person cannot connect to your car

(2) It has voltage protection, which turns off the gadget when your voltage gets low and it's not connected to a phone over BT. So long as you ensure your phone is disconnected from the gadget, it won't run your battery down. This is important to remember, as the OBD port in our cars isn't switched power, it is always powered.

Car Scanner is the app that I use. While some might disagree that you need this to drive your car, I'm very happy I had mine with me in the car when it broke down on me.

You have to pair it first with your iPhone or Android phone before Car Scanner will see it. Have you done this first?

Let me try again. I had it in for quite some time before trying to pair the app.
If it's like the MX+ it only will pair / connect for a short period of time when you power on the car for security reasons. I think the blue light blinks when it is available to connect or pair. Unplug / replug to make sure it hasn't timed out on ya.

It works. It must have been the timeout. I removed it, plugged in, turned the car on, refreshed the list and there it was. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
