Make sure you fully plan your route with ABRP, and do the whole route: Home > Destination > Home.

If you are going into a "charging desert," you will need to stop and charge at the last opportunity before you enter the desert, and ensure you have enough energy to get in and back out to that same charger.

If ABRP says you can't make it, then I wouldn't go. Take an ICE vehicle instead.

You have to calculate how much energy you need. Based on a average of 4 miles (6 km) per kilowatt-hour for the Mach-E, you can estimate how much energy for the distance you need to travel.

The largest one-person portable power source you can handle is a power station holding 4 kWh. That can give you up to 16 miles or 24 km. But it charges your vehicle very slowly at 12 A and 120 VAC, or 1.4 kW per hour. A complete charge will be over six hours.

It is very easy to overlook the driving you'll be doing once you reach your destination...

I am travelling to a place that will have to plugs. I’ll just have to charge before somewhere before. I was hoping there was a portable charger

I think you're asking if you can charge from regular plugs? If so, level 1 charging or level 2 charging from a portable EVSE (EV charger) is a good option. Level 1 will take a while (a day or two) depending how much you need.

I'm in Northern Ontario with an F-150 Lightning for a week -- I used a dryer plug for level 2 (~7kw), but now I'm topping up with level 1 (1.4kw).
