Used mine for two issues, one visit, one deductible. SB for Headlights staying on (replaced the headlamp controls) and constant reverse assist error messages (cleared 100s of message in some computer) despite performing the reset procedure. Reverse assist is starting rear it's ugly head again for me.

I bought the 7 year, 100K Ford PremiumCare warranty for my 2021. I opted for the same day car rental, lost key fob and lighting options. Between 40K and 50K miles, I had the left front headlamp replaced because the LED turn signals worked erratically, right rear window motor replaced and right rear boot on the half shaft replaced (started leaking grease). If I had to pay for these repairs would have been a little over $5K. I paid $2365 for the warranty and got back $1300 when I traded the car in (unused portion of warranty) for my '24. Think I made out well on that one and bought the same extended warranty for my 2024.

First time I ever bought an extended warranty, signed up for the 10yr. Haven't used it yet with 42k. Just hope I don't hit anymore deer, the last one was $16k to repair.

I paid $1,650 for my 2021 MachE to 75k mlles. At 52k, front camera was not functioning and I had many various error messages popping up on dash. Front and rear cameras as well as all wiring through doors had to be replaced. 20 hrs labor cost $5,500 my cost $100 deductible. Then at 58k, battery froze up. Had to be towed on lifters out of my garage. Battery had to be dropped down, bad part replaced ?? and put back together. I’m thinking of replacing with BMW i4. before warranty expires. MachE has been great for now almost 4 years.

Can you get a pro rata refund for the unused portion?

Count me in as one who has NEVER previously purchased an extended warranty, not even for the digital clock I bought at Best Buy where the cashier questioned my judgement in declining to buy it. However, I did buy the extended warranty for my Mach-E and have not yet had the need to use it, now in month 38 since my initial purchase. Having read the out of warranty repair costs reported on this forum on our Ford electric 'spearmint, I also feel it is an insurance policy for all of the electronics, sensors, etc. that might come attached with a hefty repair bill. I went with the zero deductible and day 1 rental coverage, figuring maybe Ford will have a strong incentive to fix it right the first time...and quickly. I won't feel cheated if I never use it.

Yes as long as you are the original purchaser and don’t transfer it to a second owner. While it can be transferred to a second owner, that owner can’t get a pro rated refund if they sell the car before the extended warranty is up.
