I know much of this has been discussed, but in deciding a very expensive direction, I need input.
The FE rides stiff, and I'm looking for something that handles our area's potholes and uneven pavement better so my fillings don't fall out.
Drove a Cadillac Lyric and the ride difference is amazing.

Nobody around here has a GT with Magneride so I couldn't check one out. I know many here have multiple EVs and I'm looking for advice comparing Magneride vs. Lyriq ride.

Then there is the price difference on a lease to figure out is it worth the additional cost for a bigger heaver and better riding EV. Of course I have to decide in 4 days when I must either refi, turn in and pay $3,800 in excess mileage or lease something else. I'm upside down what I owe vs car value.

So you’ve got three Options:
  • Turn in the keys and pay $3800
  • Payoff or refinance the balloon payment at your original interest rate over 36 mos.
  • Trade the car in for a new one.

You’re definitely upside down with the $3800 overage fees if you walk away. If you take the balloon payment (either refinance or payoff) then you avoid the overage fees. It may be worth exploring any deals on a trade in.

What would the Cadillac dealer give you on trade-in for your FE on a Lyriq vs Ford dealer on a GT?

Ford 19K Cadillac 21K. But after considering the increase in lease payments, I'm going to stay with the Mach-E GT as the only thing I'm fussing over is the ride. I need to help my son with wedding costs.

I traded up to get the Magnaride specifically to deal with the stiff ride. It didn't help much. If I had it to do again, I'd have kept the Premium and swapped out the suspension. That's another option for you, especially since the new OEM suspension sounds like a major improvement.

How was your $3800 calculated. The overage on my Options is $0.10 per mile so if you are the same you are over by 38,000 miles. Is that accurate? I think we will be over by say 10,000 miles when our Options term is up next spring and I expect I will turn it in.

The charge per mile varies based on how many miles per year you select at the start of the contract. I think it could be up to like $0.25 per mile on low mileage per year contracts.

A Cadillac would be nice. Thinking maybe I could find a slightly used Lyriq w/o Supercruise to reduce the price difference, or see if an Optiq would work. With how finicky these are the 4 YEAR/50,000 MILE* BUMPER-TO-BUMPER LIMITED WARRANTY is appealing as I don’t lease, and from what I understand of the Ford extended warranty tech is only covered if there is a service bulletin. Good luck!
