Order confirmation query

Hello everyone, I have just ordered my Mach-E through our company leasing agent, they are telling me that the order has been approved but it takes 2-3 weeks to get the order confirmation from Ford, here is their quote "
Mustangs are ordered slightly different as they have to be ordered centrally from Ford, this can take up to a few weeks before the dealer receives confirmation back "
Has anyone else heard of this?

They are almost right. The only way to order a MME is online. You can't go to a Ford dealer and order it direct from them like you can for a Kuga say. Ford will process the order and then send details to the nominated dealer.

Thanks for the information, just wanted to be sure that they weren't just fobbing me off.
