Order milestones

We received our order confirmation email from Ford the other day, after 39 days on order. The email lists three milestones when we will hear from Ford, 1.)when scheduled for production, 2.)built, and 3.)shipped. But no timing is given.

My dealer checks his order status report for me every week, and I know that when we get the VIN, we can do our own tracking, so wondering what the next short-term milestone will be and what your experience has been lately with timing.

If the dealer has already accepted the order, it will be multiple weeks until a production date is scheduled. That may change over time but I'm still waiting on a production date, other info in my signature line below.

We got a production date about a month after ordering but nothing since then! Found another car after 3 months of waiting!

It seems like the US an EU standards differ, is this correct?

I ordered at the start of May and got a build date almost two months later. Car might be built (found out using the F12-method) - just two months after ordering. Fords website still says 'In production' though...

Order confirmation for me took two days...
