The problem is your “spot in line” is only loosely based on when you ordered. It’s also based on your trim and your location and your dealer. Some people that ordered 2 months after me already have their cars, and people that ordered a month before me aren’t even scheduled for production.I FULLY get your response. However, in my fairy tale world I'd like to hear when today's newly built Mach E Premium order was originally entered. I'd like to hear that every day so you can get a "live" view of the real "order to assembly line" number. After reading some posts, I'd also like to know when the Premium ER AWD that was delivered today was actually ordered. Again, I'd like that number updated daily. This is definitely something that can be updated but isn't.
For instance, Ford likely allocates some percentage to states with ZEV mandates like California (as do other EV companies). That makes getting one in the Midwest frustrating because we have no EV mandates, so our priority may be lower for allocations.
