I FULLY get your response. However, in my fairy tale world I'd like to hear when today's newly built Mach E Premium order was originally entered. I'd like to hear that every day so you can get a "live" view of the real "order to assembly line" number. After reading some posts, I'd also like to know when the Premium ER AWD that was delivered today was actually ordered. Again, I'd like that number updated daily. This is definitely something that can be updated but isn't.
The problem is your “spot in line” is only loosely based on when you ordered. It’s also based on your trim and your location and your dealer. Some people that ordered 2 months after me already have their cars, and people that ordered a month before me aren’t even scheduled for production.

For instance, Ford likely allocates some percentage to states with ZEV mandates like California (as do other EV companies). That makes getting one in the Midwest frustrating because we have no EV mandates, so our priority may be lower for allocations.

I live in northern VA and ordered my AWD extended range premium mach e on 7/12/2020 and have 0 updates from Ford on delivery or production (besides the swap from 21 to 22 MY). I'm DYING waiting for an update.

I'm sure I'm not alone here. Right? Are others in the same boat? I had the option back in July of buying a test driven model from Missouri for MSRP but figured I could manage to wait for a brand new one in the color I wanted. Trying to not regret that decision is getting harder each week.

Please help console my aching heart lol
Stop your complaining , according to @Mach1E the long waits and slow production makes our vehicles that much more "SPECIAL" when we finally take delivery! ? And if you decide to sell you will have a much better resale value! ?

Do you know what your priority number is? You can’t see this online; you have to call the dealer to find out. The reason I ask is on 10/01/21, all online orders were rolled over to 2022 models. All online orders became priority 99 - Hold, do not build. It stays on a hold until the dealer calls and confirms your order. My dealer didn’t know this and I was on hold for 22 days until I called and explained how the priority system works. Ridiculous that I had to teach the Ford dealer.

Did your Ford dealer confirm your order after the 10/01/21 rollover?

My 8/14/21 order is also still waiting for a production date. I took over a cancelled order that was made on 10/11/21 and is scheduled for production the first week of January. The cancelled order was made 2 months after mine and is already scheduled.

I mean, anything would be better than silence. "250 cars ahead of yours", "estimated production date of X", "you can expect your car before X"

Just seeing "order accepted" after 5 months feels like I could just be lost in the system. I know I'm not but imagine ordering anything else off the internet and not hearing back for months about it's status
I mentioned this in another thread. Please reach out to your dealer. Have them print and find out what your priority number is. If it's set to anything lower than 19 you won't see your car anytime soon. A lot of folks need to check to make sure that when their MY21 was rolled to MY22 that the dealer went back in and changed it from the automatically assigned level of 99 (hold indefinitely) and back to 10-19.

Yes I called my dealer the day the rollover happened. According to them I am highest priority on their system as a 10

There are a few of us early reservation (mine is Jan 2020) and still no car. @Ford Motor Company does not care about reservation numbers or who ordered before who, only what is most efficient for them. It is frustrating and I would say disrespectful but that is reality.

Except that scheduling is based on logistics more than "who ordered first". Different trims, different destinations, etc have to get batched and interleaved on the assembly line, and further downstream they need to schedule railcars and trucks so that everything runs smoothly without logjams and idle trains/trucks/cars.

And then what happens when they can't meet those far off dates because of problems whose cause is completely out of their control? That's right, you'd be here posting "how furious you are", or "I can't believe Ford lied to me", or "why can't Ford get it right".

If you've been here for any length of time you'd know that happens all the time with the limited date info they put out already.

It's not just picking ZEV states over others; there are lots of logistics involved and daily events screw things up. I know for a fact that some plants have had to stop producing a particular trim because of a sudden break in the supply chain. It's also not just the Cautitlan plant - Ford has to partition the limited number of railcars, trucks, and spots in the railroad schedules for dozens of facilities in north america.

Glad I'm not alone. I don't frequent this forum often and didn't see that thread. Sucks Ford has no better way to give us an idea on delivery timelines
Tesla and VW are no better from my experience. Tesla just gives you an illusion of an EDD - but that constantly shifts and the "why" is not transparent. VW - nobody knows how German production queues work.

Yup, waiting sucks.

But saving money is your consolation prize.

But if time is more important than $, just “skip the line” and pay an ADM.

I am sure this is all true and weeks out of order I can understand. Having the first reservations sit for a month before getting on the train but fully built and no longer on chip delay in Mexico while newly built cars get shipped is disrespectful. Many GT’s have been delivered over 2 month before mine even though they are identical trims and options to people that had no reservation and very late orders.

I know all about production and the logistics it takes to make these cars. I understand it's challenging. Ford obviously knows what orders they have from where. They know their production capability week to week. Obviously things change that they can't control. I'm not asking for a "your car WILL be built in X date" 5-8 months in advance.

Just, some communication that you're in the queue and getting closer to an actual car is all I'm asking for.

Even if every week the estimated date got pushed back another week, at least it would show an effort on their part for transparency.

If ford.can estimate 28+ weeks for delivery on a MME ordered today, why can't they estimate 8-10 weeks on an order placed in July?

Ouch. Guess it hurts to know it's built and just sitting somewhere while you wait. Although I'd rather be where you are than where I am lol

I ordered mine, March 7, 2021, shipped October 2, 2021 got to Willmington, DE November 27, 2021, assigned a truck to deliver to Fairfax, VA, status has been pending update ever since. Contacted the dealer, who contacted the Ford zone rep, he said, it would probably be delivered before he gets an update from the trucking company. The wait is killing me! Ford said delivery by December 4th.
