.... that is EXACTLY what my experience w/BlueCruise ... if I set the speed too high the car just becomes very jerky, it still follows the center lane and curves but it is very abrupt... then I lower the speed (following distance set at maximum) and idiots start to cut in .... in one instance the guy who cut me in came to a full stop I had this RED warning pop up and flashing ... got panicky and ended up jamming on my brake full force and hearing my wifey screaming at top of her lungs ...Having used BlueCruise for a few weeks now, I do hate that it follows the car in front of it at a distance big enough to allow cars to easily merge in, and when they do merge in the car does have a pretty forceful brake. It really should either follow cars more closely or have a much smoother brake, because I'm pretty sure all these brakes are considered hard brakes with my insurance company![]()
As far to force braking it could the inherent way the brake system on the Mach-e was designed to work? (I have One-Pedal always engaged.)
