Curious, those that own a car without wireless CarPlay, have you ever tried an Ottocase Mini?
If so, any good?

My Missus has a Ford Explorer, 2023, and would you believe it, no wireless CarPlay. Thus, I am trying to find a solution for her to not have to always plug a cable in...

Ford should have gone with whisper, unbridled, and "hell horse" for driving modes.

Been using this particular Ottocase in the Maverick for almost 3 years and works great. The Maverick has Sync 3 instead of 4a like the Mach-E so not sure if that would have any impact on the way it works.

I find wireless CarPlay is janky enough that I now plug in 100% of the time. The connection is quicker, charging is faster, the "no audio" bug doesn't happen, etc. Maybe a 3rd party connection would not have all those issues, but you're probably still going to want to be charging while using CarPlay, especially if using Nav.

Hmm, some good points here. For home to work trips, I do not feel that charging is compulsory.
However, for proper road trips, I agree, one would need to plug in regardless.

Honestly, one less thing for me to buy, the more I think about it. And, one less thing to fail or have issues...

I bought a wireless carplay adapter for my wife's Honda CR-V (2017) - worked fine. Then when she got a Kia EV6 in December, we moved it over to that. Also works fine, better than wired on this car in fact. But the one I bought is no longer available. I saw a new one that just plugs into the USB-A port, tiny, no cable required.
