Where and when did you compile the timeline? Once done and complete? I am in CLE and I have had "shipped" now for 2 weeks (since 9/18/21) and I am in the dark other than their email to me saying please allow 12-28 days yada yada - with target ETA of 10/30-11/5 to my dealer...

This was my timeline buying from AutoNation Ford East with a late July delivery. I live on the westside (Avon) but they had an order cancel shortly after build. Keep checking PALSAPP.com. You'll get a pending for Voltz in KC that will change to delivered when it arrives from Mexico. Then it will eventually show a line for Avon Lake. Which will eventually show a delivered date. Finally, you'll get a third entry for the truck ride to the delivery. Sometimes it takes a day or two to magically update. If you're like me, you'll eventually be checking palsapp.com multiple times a day, just in case

Okay sounds good. I definitely followed you about a month ago off 90 into Avon. I’m in Olmsted Township and all my in-laws are in Avon. I’ll keep tracking on pallsapp…. I have a GT on order coming into Ganley East which is in Kamms Corner by my office.

Was it delivered some where in the midwest? Fastest deliveries are those that get trucked from KC instead of a second train ride and then trucked.

My dealer is just full of crap or Ford's VVR didn't update, both are possible (or probable).

Palsapp showed they moved my car in KC to the westbound train so it is definitely not on a Mexican siesta anymore. This is what palsapp looked like when they did so.

I've been following your progress closely as my car was shipped a few days after yours. My ship date was 09/20 and this morning it showed up on palsapp as moved to the Argentine Ramp on 10/02. Has there been any progress on your delivery?

I'm sure there is progress but it's not visible to us. From what I have read, palsapp only shows stuff when your car is moved by them on trucks.

My car is clearly on a train out to the Bay area in California, which I've read here generally takes a week. My car should have left around Tuesday, so I would hope there's more insight from palsapp or my lazy dealer early next week.

In the meanwhile I continue to replay the roadshow YouTube video in an unhealthy frequency and try not to refresh the tracking tools too many times each day.

Clearly Ford has work to do in satisfying current customer expectations that would expect you could see where your car is as easily as you can track your Amazon order or Uber ride.

I'm reaching out to my sales person at walnut creek ford and have him pull a VVR. The last time he pulled it for me this is what it showed. I'm hoping that i can get a railcar number. if we have a railcar number, does anyone know if we can track.

@scoopman, are you willing to trade cars ? you have the exact config and color options i wanted, but that was vetoed by the higher ups at home and i had to settle for a grabber blue GT

You got further than me, Sunnyvale Ford would barely read me a line from the VVR, and I think the second time I asked them, the guy read either an earlier line or the VVR wasn't updated at all.

I've seen evidence here on the boards that it is possible to track rail car numbers on some railways. I think these cars are taken on Union Pacific trains but I have little hope for a rail car number from my dealer, who just wishes I would leave them alone to think up new ways to raise the prices on the 5 F-150s they have left on their lot.

I have an identical-spec Rapid Red "backup" GTPE that I ordered and sent to another Bay Area dealer (who was very straightforward over email on their pricing to me) when it became clear my original dealer started becoming untrustworthy. That car is being built on 10/26, so 2-3 more months should I need to take my backup option.

It leaves me feeling more empowered and with options should my first dealer decide to add the $10,000 non-negotiable unlimited oil change package to my final deal. I'm still not sure what to do with the second car assuming things work out with the first dealer, but it's nice for me to have this optionality.

You’ve done great by putting in a backup order. There are a few horror stories with Sunnyvale Ford seen here on the forums.

You're lucky. Mine is ship 9/18 and still pending palsap. two weeks as of today. So maybe soon I hope. Seems to be no rhyme or reason when cars ship or show up. Has to be a better way to buy spec cars.

Mine was two weeks exactly, so I would just refresh your Palsapp today or tomorrow. It also seems like they work all days of the week in Mexico (my car was marked built on a Saturday) but perhaps you might also need to wait until Monday before the train is unloaded in KC.
