It'll have less feature, cost more and no longer qualify for the tax credit, BUT HEY.., They added a new blue.
Assuming Ford hits 200,000 in Q3, the 100% tax credit would end on 12/31/22. For the first half of 2023, the credit would be 50%, for the second half would be 25%. So it would END on 12/31/23.

A new shade of blue. Possibly an all white interior option šŸ˜€
Iā€™ll go out on a limb and hazard a guess that there just MIGHT be new aero covers for the CA RT1 (I believe those are plastic and thus, cheap to injection mold)

oh wait, you were asking about substantive changes? Like battery increases, ventilated seats, or a remote frunk release? šŸ¤ŖšŸ¤£
I would hope that the 2023s have a remote frunk release since 2021 Job 2 cars have one. Itā€™d be sad for them to remove it. šŸ˜±šŸ©

Is it normal to get no kind of info on the 2023s yet with reservations coming Aug 15?

Also, what are the chances of getting a 2023 in 2022 the news broke this past week of Ford investing into the new battery element to produce over 600k units by the end of 2023...
those 600k will not be Macheā€™s

One thing that Ford excels at is decontenting subsequent model years as a way of driving cost savings.

Is the 2023 model shipping with the new Android based OS or is it still Sync 4A like the 2021/2022's?

We'll know when it's available for sale.

They will hit it by in Q4 of 2022
Q1 would be 50%
Q2 would be 25%

Q3+. 0% which is where most deliveries will likely happen for 2023 models

Less feature? Whatā€™s the less feature?
Park assist and no handsfree lift gate (which both both removed during 2022 build) the feature set in general is lacking on this car.

Not quite, the projection is for Ford to hit 200,000 units in Quarter 3 of 2022. Taking this projection into account you get 100% tax credit for Quarter 4 of 2022, 50% for Quarters 1 & 2 of 2023 and 25% for Quarters 3 & 4 of 2023. So as you can see with current projections there will be some tax incentive all the way through end of 2023.

If they deliver about the same rate that they did in June Ford would hit it in Q3. It is possible though with the August shutdown it is just below 200k units, or if production was lower than June. I have noticed that mache seem to be harder to find at dealers than earlier this year but that could just be demand too and evs selling once they hit the lot.
