When I first saw the GT wheels, I really, really didn't like them. Now, I really, really like them. They are distinctive and make the car stand out. I used to love the GTPE wheels, and I still really like them, but they are more generic looking. When you see the GT wheels from a distance, you know it is a MME.

Now I say this without ever seeing them in person, as my GT is still in the shipment black hole, but I am definitely glad Ford did something unique on the GT. And I am definitely keeping those wheels!

I asked for a vvr today but my dealer never got to it. Maybe tomorrow.

Okay, a little movement for me on Palsapp. I can see in the raw data that I now have a bayed date and my vehicle status has changed from ASN to Picked. It still shows Null and Pending in the basic summary heading but now at least there are signs of life.

Went into Dealer to try and get the VVR since they won't return my calls or emails. They refused to give it again. They said customer ordered cars they can give a VVR but they cannot on dealer ordered/customer reserved cars. I said it didn't make any sense because the dealer would need to know what train car it is on. Then I finally got the truth when they said "Oh we do have that information but we don't give it to customers even if they reserved the car".

Ordered: 6/8
Scheduled for production: 9/6
Built: 9/18
Shipped: 9/20
Ford ETA: 11/5-11/11
Delivered: 10/20

Palsapp never updated beyond showing delivered in KC on 10/2. Beyond the 10/2 update I did not receive any other updates until an email came from Ford 2 hours prior to vehicle delivery. VVR was useless, 2+ weeks ago it showed the vehicle in Canada!

Hope all the deliveries are early. Definitely make sure you ask/get a 2nd key fob. I challenged the dealer and they finally agreed after a having to "check".

I can only speculate that Ford hates my dealer or something. This is the second MME I am buying and both times my reservation has meant nothing.

Latest word from my dealer that despite it "shipping" Oct 1st, my car still shows in Mexico after 22 days. VVR shows Mexico

I think that VVR is useless after shipment. My dealer also told me that the last thing it shows is shipment date in Mexico, when it's definitely (per palsapp) on a truck with 5 other cars (one more MME for another dealership).

well, my palsapp.com shows it has not arrived yet either so either both are wrong or it truly ever left Mexico.

I got a VVR from my dealer 2 days ago, and they said they had been having trouble with them and weren't getting any updates. When they pulled mine though it appeared to be working again and it was very detailed. It also confirmed the tracking data I had been getting from Union Pacific. My car was getting off the train in Salt Lake City and should be headed up to Meridian (near Boise) any time now.
