Like here.

Not very definitive if access is blocked or not, I don't ,modify anything, just read the gear position to know you are driving. A suppose ABRP would be impacted as well.
EV's aren't even required to have an OBD port.

Bad news folks, looks like the 2025 Mach-E changed something so Pankuzu is currently connecting but not able to access the gear position and plugged in state info.

If anyone out there knows where these have moved to I would love to hear from you.
Good news, support for the 2025 Mach-E will be released in the next update.

No encryption, just obfuscation. And many thanks to my partner in crime who I can't tag since I don't know his forum handle, who patiently tested builds while all sorts of machinations were pushed to him to test.

Build 2026.03.15 goes live tonight, please review before installing it.

Build 2026.03.15 Update

ATTENTION 2026.03.3 USERS:
Make a backup of your trips/charges before installing this build
- Settings.Database, Backup
- Install new build
- Clear the database, Settings.Database, Clear Database
- Restore from your backup

If you can’t log a trip or charge, make sure background operation is enabled in Settings.Bluetooth (a red symbol in the Bluetooth button means you are disabled).

What's New
Key updates are robustness and user features:
- 2025 Mustang Mach-E support (OBDLink MX+ required)
- create/edit charges using the Ford app Charge History (no OBDLink required)
- more robust design works without network connection
- Live Activities are properly supported (iOS does not allow Live Activities from background app)

Trips
- destination updates every 10 seconds with reverse geocoded address
- trips start and end gracefully even if there is no network connection
- view high voltage battery history

Charges
- charges start and end gracefully even if there is no network connection
- manually create a new charge
- edit a charge detail
- view high voltage battery history
- graph coupler temperature when charging
- State of Charge is now displayed on the charge power chart

Settings
- Bluetooth settings allows you to enable and disable operation and pair to a specific adapter
- fixed bug with Locations count shown as 0
- manually add new vehicles in the Vehicle settings (for those manually logging charges)

The pankuzu iPhone app is awesome! Only being using it for a week and it is 10,000 times better than any other OBD app.

Thanks for the kind words, always interested in hearing ideas on what should come next. Some possibilities:
- reached out to ABRP about an API key but didn’t get a reply so I’ll try again
- replacing the Live Activity dashboard with a full sized trip/charge dashboard

Or something else. Projects like this are something I do in the winter months when not shoveling snow and spring is just around the corner.🏖

Happy to help! It was a bit selfishly after all since I really wanted to see the data from my trips :D

Hopefully ABRP gets back to you since it'd be great to have an alternative to Apple Maps (and of course inbuilt nav) for roadtrips

Thanks again for an excellent app!

Got an ABRP telemetry key today, now looking for a special someone (or two) that uses both ABRP and Pankuzu to double check my work before a wider release.

I only need a few at this stage so if you like to help, send me a DM so I know you are interested.

Getting ready to release build 2026.03.24 which will be the last March release as I am taking off till next week.

Fixed anything reported and made some improvements. For those who use ABRP, this build supports using the ABRP telemetry API. Just get your API token from the ABRP app, visit Settings, Integrations, enable the ABRP integration and add your vehicle and token.

So no crash reports, no screenshots, no feedback. Does anyone even use this software?

Help me out here. I think it is time for a full screen trip dashboard with elements not available on the instrument panel. Like the lock screen Live Activity with its headwind indicator but bigger and better.

Ideas?

I use it and have nothing to report, works fine for me. The only issue is not your fault. The home charging sessions don’t finish recording because I walk out of BT range with my phone, so it doesn’t talk to the OBD plug anymore.

In that case you can edit the charge and fill in the details from the Ford app.

Thanks for the feedback.

Seems to be working great so far, it's really nice to be able to use ABRP seamlessly.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Pankuzu (Breadcrumbs): trip & charging data recording app for your Mach-E 1775863098064-d

I the only annoyance is similar to what mdolan92869 mentioned, BT range means I walk into and out of range of the OBDII connection enough it didn't auto power down one night and I got the dreaded 'battery drain' warning in the Ford app the next day. Obviously not a huge deal though.

I wonder, is there anyway you can expose the Disable/Enable Background mode as an action we can use in a shortcut? I'm not quite sure yet what I'd setup on an automation to trigger that on and off when I get into and out of the car but I'm sure I can find something (..maybe my garage door sensor) but there might be other uses too.

I have no idea the complexity here and it might not be the direction you want to take, but maybe a CarPlay interface to the app could be useful too? I know sometimes I'll doublecheck my phone just to make sure everything is recording right. Might be a cool way to peak at battery temp and such too?

I once found my phone on my charger connected to my Lightning in the driveway, that is when the option to disable Bluetooth connections came about.

Sure, I’ll give it a try. Haven’t used Shortcuts at all but I bet Claude will do the heavy lifting for adding App Intents.

I would love to do a CarPlay app that but I have to apply to Apple., it isn’t like a making a watch app.
