I just got the "Parking Break Fault" Service Now, popup. This is the second time for me. About three or four months ago I had the same message. Took it to the dealership and they performed the latest TSB to resolve the issue by replacing the connector. Since then I really haven't driven it in the rain. (Been pretty dry here). The last few days we've had some rain and while driving the message appeared again... This is pretty much what happened the last time I got the message. I'm thinking I may have a Fair Weather Car here...

I'm getting ready to contact the dealer again... but, thinking they may not accept the same issue of the bad or corroded connector and will want me to pay for this. I'm not sure how to approach this with them... Maybe the part could have been faulty or maybe it could be a different issue....

Has anyone out there had this same issue twice? thoughts would be appreciated.

Probably a faulty repair if they did the TSB already.

Is your car not still in warranty? If so, you shouldn’t pay.

Took my Mach E to the dealer last Tuesday.... Dropped it off... They called me that afternoon... Found the problem with the Parking Break Fault....

I was thinking as MachLee mentioned that they may have done a faulty repair when the performed the TSB... But it turned out that it was the actual connector in the console .... Bad connection with one of the pins.. They had to order the part... Took one day to get it.... Was able to pick up the car on Thursday.... and no charge... guess it was covered under the warranty....

The other thing they did on the invoice... they noted all the TSB (software and Hardware) updates that were pending... and one was the HVBC to be replaced...

I was told they will order the new HVBC.... but had no idea of it's availability...

So all ended well with this one...

Not had the problem twice, didn’t they change both your park brake harnesses? Sounds like one failed then the other’s gone too??‍♂

If the parking brake will not release, do not drive the car, have it towed. You will destroy the brake trying to drive it with the parking brake engaged. Be advised it's possible to have one side stuck and one side released.

Thanks Mach-Lee

Does these TSB/CSP actions apply in the UK?

TSB 22-2143 and/or CSP 22P31 ?

I can't see UK TSBs. I would assume there is a UK version of it. But it would have a different number. Ask your service advisor to look.

Did anyone ever find the UK CSP number?

I got hit with this issue this week. I was hoping to have Ford reimburse it. If not I'll take a look on PTS soon.
