Id love Ford to give performance tier upgrades! You kind of get used to the acceleration. I want a top end bump in power. Plenty of torque with 700, but why not 580hp+

I got the email as well, and I own a Rally, so I'm pretty sure I have this package since my specs are 3.4 sec 0-60 already. The Rally can't do 3.3 because of tires and lift, or so I'm told. I wonder if someone paid this extra amount but didn't need it, would Ford inform them and offer a refund?

A $1000 for a software only upgrade is ridiculous. Even Tesla doesn't charge for Ludicrous mode.

It's more to cover Ford's projected additional warranty costs than anything. The GT was priced how it was based on the 600 lb/ft figure on the base car. Increasing the torque level by 17% is going to maker life harder on a number of components. ??
