Phantom Sat Nav Routes

Occasionally when I press get in and press start the in-built sat nav will start giving me instructions as it will have a destination programmed. I never use the in-built nav, so have never programmed in a destination. Nor have I sent my car a route from the Pass App.

Has anyone else experienced these phantom routes?

Perhaps it’s some developer having a Halloween joke at my expense! LOL

In theory, the navigation system "learns" where you go and will give you predictive destinations. You can turn this setting OFF in the Navigation menu somewhere (page 347 of the manual). I also don't use the built in sat nav ( I use Android Auto ) and have never had this happen to me but then my setting is OFF. Try it and see.

I also found discussion on this on the equivalent F-150 Lightening forum, where the same Sync system is used The advise you gave was the same.

I’ve found and changed the setting, so hoping that will stop the routes.

What I think is interesting having read these discussions is that none of the ‘predicted destinations’ are places I have been to!!
