So day 2 with the Mach-E. I think I've got everything figured out. Vehicle is driven by myself (Driver 1), and my wife (Driver 2). I've saved our seating/mirror presets with the seat memory (Bank 1 for myself, Bank 2 for my wife). I've created two profiles accordingly, and setup our phones with Phone-As-Key, and associated each phone with our profile. I've also associated both keyfobs accordingly:
Profile 1 (myself)
- Keyfob 1
- Seating position 1
- Phone-As-Key (my phone)
Profile 2 (wife)
- Keyfob 2
- Seating position 2
- Phone-As-Key (her phone)
Some takeaways:
My wife drives the car, parks it in the driveway, and locks it.
10 minutes later, I go and use my Phone-As-Key to unlock and drive the car.
Car doesn't load my profile (even though it's associated with my Phone-As-Key).
My question is: Is this a bug, or do I need the physical keyfob that's associated with my profile in order for the profile (and seating position) to automatically load when I unlock and start the car?
My second question is with phone Apple-Car-Play priority. Since she drives the vehicle much more often, I've set her phone to be the priority in the Phone List to use with Apple Car Play.
Can the priority list be changed to my phone as priority when my driver profile is loaded?
As of now, when I start the car in our driveway and load my driver profile, the car still attempts to connect to her phone for Apple Car Play. I would think it's logical to have the same phone used as Phone-As-Key be the phone it attempts to use for Apple Car Play, no?
Hey, thanks for reading. Just some questions pertaining to ease-of-use and common sense
