Planned charge interrupt

I usually plug in at 9pm ish for a midnight charge till 5am. If however, i or my wife decides to use the car at 10pm and so disconnect the car then reconnect at say 11pm, the car will not charge overnight. The ford App changes from saying waiting to charge to Not charging. I doubt many people have seen this but how do I get ford to look into this problem?

Don’t you have a “resume schedule “ icon on the app?

Make sure she's plugging it in all the way till it clicks. It should charge if plugged in at any point in the charge window.

Verify the charge status by some means other than the FordPass home page, which has often been inaccurate for the last year or so.

More accurate places to check: on the side of the vehicle next to the charge port, on the Vehicle tab of FordPass, via Google Assistant "ask fordpass for my vehicle's charge status".

The same was going to happen last night again. I made sure it was plugged in ok, my ford pass app didn't give me an option to resume schedule. Google assistant doesn't recognise my ford pass in the UK. I opted to change my max charge from 80% to 85%. This seemed to ensure it would charge but in the morning it had just charged to 80%. ?. Why can't I simply replug and forget?
