Have the receipts from Ford always omitted the charge rate? How hard is it to include the rate? I only just realized that I didn't get the Tesla Membership discount by using Blue Oval Plug and Charge. I have now disabled it and am using the Tesla app to start my charges.

There's a ton of pricing components to charging. The Session Fee is the total of all of them - energy, time, idle fee, congestion fee, session fee, taxes, and any combination of those depending on the site operator. Ford passes along what it receives from the operator (Tesla), which is $11.70. They calculated what went into it.

There's also no need to disable Plug & Charge (it prevents you from using the Public Charging app) if you wish to use the Tesla app to charge, just use the Tesla app before you plug in.

Not quite correct.

While this works MOST of the time, many members here have had the problem that they activate via the Tesla app, but the activation may time out on the Tesla app while one is putting on the adapter (or just moving slow). Since they are busy plugging in, they don't notice, and Ford Plug & Charge takes over and you don't get your discount (and have no idea you're not getting it unless you open the Tesla app and see no ongoing session).

This can also happen if Tesla mismarks the chargers. Every now and then, a charger is replaced with no markings. Or, at a location in Canada I visited, the order of the chargers was 1B, 1A, 1C, 1D, ... Some idiot decided to not put them in the obvious order.

I have had 3 mischarges (Ford charging me instead of Tesla) for some of the reasons above. And, turning off Plug & Charge wasn't an option a few months ago until Ford issued a new version of the app.

It's best to disable Plug & Charge if you want the Tesla membership discount. This has been discussed often here.

Agree with Rick. I disabled plug and charge last weekend for a road trip so that I could use the tesla membership. Each charge session was accounted for properly via the tesla membership. After reading various threads here, I didn't want to take any changes by leaving plug and charge enabled.
