Hello everyone,

I really screwed up trying to install a dash cam (it's the FitCam X with the rear camera option) When I tried pull back the side plastic pillar to run the wire to the back I had a hard time getting it back in place and eventually they broke, I now have it secured with duct tape (see pictured) What is this part called? I'm really bad with this stuff, I should have had someone do this.

Thanks

Same here, managed not to break it but it still doesn't sit quite right. Looks like it would be a
Body A-Pillar Trim Panel - Ford (LJ8Z-5803599-AC)
But I would see if your local dealer could cross and confirm on the parts list for your model.

My passenger side interior A-pillar cover broke on removal. I ordered a new one from a dealer and still haven’t installed it. ??

The reinstall trouble lies in alignment of the black prongs on the inner side. Gotta be careful and not force things when reinstalling... guess how I know this. Before reassembling, carefully look at these back prongs and their corresponding pillar holes and visualize the movement that needs to happen when / if you will try insfalling a replacement piece.

Good Luck!

For the next dashcam install. It’s much easier to run the wire behind the weather stripping.
I pull it out, shove the wire in the huge gap, and put the stripping back.

Hi guys, same here....my case is the right side. Those black prongs are not yet broken but blended already and nearly to break, so cannot hold the whole pillar.

Wanna know how much is the pillar bought from dealer?

The most important thing is I cannot figure it out how to reinstall the pillar. The corner bottom have a clips and vent plastic stuff, it just cannot insert inside (compared with the driver side level) and it is so narrow for me to use finger to push the corner downwards. Anyone have tricks to install it back? Or any video can demonstrate? TIA!

I had no problem installing the replacement, I ordered it here (left side) I was unable to find a video except on youtube on how run the wires for the rear dashcam.
