I had a charging problem where it would start to charge and trip the breaker after a few minutes. It turned out to be loose connections at the breaker. However when charging it cycles from 31 amps to 15 amps. What app are you talking about where you set the charging rate?
I am talking about the Ford Connected Charger App. You can pick the AMP from 15 to 48 AMP. If I charge it to 48 AMP then it won't charge but 36, 30 and lower AMP works fine. So I am guessing it is the charge station having the issue not the charger port on the car. I am having this discussion with Ford representative and will update here what they say.

It's not the charger. I am having the same issue as you are with my Juicebox 48amp. Started last week. You should check out the other 4 threads with the same issue.

did you get it checked by the dealer? Is it a problem with the car charge port or something else in the car? Ford corporate is going to let me know tomorrow. I will let you know what they say

I went today, I have an appointment on the 11th of July (nothing sooner available). Another group I am part of is reporting similar issues. It seems to be affecting 2021 models after the DCFC update

What is DCFC update? My MME was charging just fine until June 10. I charged multiple times before and never got this issue

I have this exact problem. Last time I took it in - before I realized it was related to an amperage setting - I couldn’t charge at 46 amps after about 7-13%. It would red light on me. Then, after awhile, I had to downgrade amps again to 30 (is it? I can’t recall) and it’s working fine.

But go to any public charging station and it’s a non-starter. Faults every time, sometimes doesn’t even start, sometimes only takes 20 minutes, and my dealer asks me if I plugged it in all the way (like I haven’t done that for the past 2 years).

Have you found a solution for this yet?

Not yet. Ford is saying they are still looking into the issue. As I said in my previous post that I couldn’t charge at 48 A but had to lower it to 30A. It worked fine until yesterday. So I further lowered the amps to 24A and it worked. This is crazy. No one seems to know what the issue is. Neither ford nor the dealer.

So Finally Ford arrange a dealer visit and ford engineering contacted the dealer tech. The conclusion is that they replace the charge port and now I can charge at 48A with my Ford connected charger.
Dealer checked for codes and found code P0E5F. Followed PPT L. L1: No, L2: No, L3: Yes, L4: Yes, need to replace charge port.
It looks like only 2021 Model has this problem. It shouldn't happen again as per the dealer tech. Will see and update if I run in to the same issue again.

Update 23-PU0105-DC-CHG2.

Right after that update is when I started having major issues with DCFC. A number of chargers just don't work, charging initiates and either fails immediately or within a handful of minutes with a flashing orange ring on the car. Those that do work often don't charge faster than 50kW when previously I could get >100kW.

Add me to the list of people with this problem. I've had a 21 MME that's worked perfectly for the past 2 yrs. Home charger is a juicebox. Last week for the first time I got the "plugged not charging" message. I unplugged the juicebox, plugged it back in and it started working again. Then it worked fine for a few days but same thing happened today. Anybody have a similar experience where the unplug/plug technique worked? Does this mean anything in terms of the likely source of the problem? Going to contact a dealer soon. Thanks.

Just to update everyone. Used Lindsay ford in Kensington MD. They did the pick up and delivery service, kept the car for 3 days and returned it working well. Love the pick up/delivery service. Hope Ford keeps doing this. Saved me so much time.

The invoice said "Charge cord stuck reprogram battery charge control module". Everything works now.

If, like me, your problem is intermittent, it's likely not your charger or cord. Hopefully a reset of the appropriate module will fix it for you as well.
