That is correct. If the car is not plugged in when your pre-set departure time is reached the car will use remote start instead of the full preconditioning. That means the cabin will be conditioned for your departure time, but the battery will not.So I think you are saying that departure time pre condition will not work while unplugged and I have checked start while unplugged
I have my departure times set for both going to work and coming home from work. Going to work it is plugged in so the car conditions both the battery and the cabin, but when I go home it is not plugged in and the Ford Pass App tells me since the car is not plugged in it used remote start to condition the cabin only. And, yes, I also have "start while unplugged" box checked in the car too like you.
